Comfort Carrying System
The Dräger PSS90 features an orthopaedically designed backplate moulded from glass-filled polyamide with carbon fibre for resilience and strength. Following the natural contours of the back and attached securely to the fully padded waistbelt and shoulder harness , the result is a carrying system which ensures that the weight of the apparatus and cylinders is concentrated on the hips - thereby reducing backstrain, stress and fatigue.

Designed to endure the harsh environments within which today’s fire and rescue professionals are expected to perform, every component is manufactured to a high degree of chemical, heat and flame resistance. PSS90 is fully designed and tested to comply with the highest flame engulfment standards in the world. The anti-static composite backplate,incorporating moulded carrying handles, is flexible and impact resistant without compromising wearing comfort
Easy Donning and Doffing
The Dräger PSS90 features pull forward waistbelt adjustment and optional stainless steel friction buckles for quick and easy donning and doffing.
Wide Range of Set Configurations
The Dräger PSS90 can be used with either standard gauge or the DrägerMan Bodyguard II - an innovative, fully electronic monitoring unit combining a host of monitoring and warning devices into a single instrument. The set accepts a wide range of cylinders sizes including twin cylinder configurations and a host of additional performance enhancing accessories..

Choose from a broad range of compressed air cylinders to configure breathing apparatus to your individual requirements. Draeger offers a complete range of 200 bar and 300 bar steel and composite cylinders. Sizes range from 4 L 200 bar to 9L 300bar with a choice of cylinder valves.

Head up Display (HUD)

FPS 7000 Head Up Display (HUD)

The new Draeger FPS 7000 Head-Up-Display developed for use with the FPS 7000 facemask is an optional feature which easily integrates into the Draeger PSS 90 breathing apparatus (FPS 7000 HUD transmitter kit PSS 90/100 required for operation) . Always within the field of view so that cylinder contents can be monitored without any manual action on the part of the user. The wireless design allows for ease of operation and being internal to the mask the HUD is protected from the ambient atmosphere.

PSS90 Accessory Chargeair Hose

Chargeair Hose

Connected to the pressure reducer of the PSS 90 the chargeair hose allows a rapid recharge of the breathing air cylinder whilst the SCBA wearer continues to breathe from the set. This feature is commonly used in the mining industry where the self escape of a miner from an underground mining incident is desired. The recharging facility can also be utilised by emergency services when entering structures which require coverage of long distances under SCBA protection (high rise buildings, tunnels).

FPS 7000 HUD Transmitter Kit PSS 90/100

Transmitter kit when fitted to the PSS 90 allows set to be used with FPS 7000 facemask with head-up-display. The transmitter provides wireless transmission of pressure signal the to the in-mask display.

Secondary Supply Hoses

A choice of secondary supply hose allows configuartion of the Dräger PSS 7000 for rescue and or decontamination applications. Secondary Supply Hose QRC -male, Secondary Supply Hose QRC female Airline Belt Manifold

PSS Rescue Hood

The Dräger PSS® Rescue Hood is intended for use only in conjunction with self contained compressed air breathing apparatus (SCBA), fitted with an appropriate secondary supply hose, and that is approved to the requirements of EN137. When the hood is placed over the head of an injured or distressed individual who is to be rescued, the hose connection to the secondary supply hose of the SCBA provides the individual being rescued with a regulated constant flow of breathable air into the hood from the SCBA.
