FAULTY BURST DISCS

Dräger Safety Pacific has received notification from our cylinder valve supplier (TD Preece) of the supply of a batch of potentially faulty burst discs.

The burst discs in question have been supplied since November 2008 in any of the following forms:

Complete cylinder valves,
Individual burst discs or
300bar (only) compressed air cylinders complete with valves.

The batch of burst discs which have been identified as potentially faulty have the batch number 30/08 stamped into the side.

Directive

Any cylinders found to have had valves fitted with the affected burst discs must be immediately removed from service, have the contents drained and be placed into quarantine.

Additionally any individual valves or burst discs must not be fitted to cylinders and must also be placed into quarantine.

Replacement burst discs will be supplied to any customers who identify discs with the batch numbers indicated above.
